Summer DJ Series – DJ Don Rayon

Mario’s story starts in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, though it’s Brazil and California that shaped who he is today. Raised in São Paulo from age five through his teens by a modest Brazilian family, Mario learned early on the value of humility, community, and letting passion lead. At 21, he took a leap of faith and moved across the country to San Diego — a decision that became the foundation for the next decade of his life.

In San Diego, Mario found a creative family of his own, immersing himself in the city’s underground electronic music scene, performing at festivals, and building a career as a designer across an unusually wide range of mediums — clothing, marketing, music, events, websites, and apps. Today he balances work as a UX Designer with his role as co-founder and creative lead of In The Bag Productions, an immersive experience production company he built alongside his closest friends.

For Mario, DJing and event production are about more than music — they’re about connection. In The Bag Productions is built on the idea of creating immersive, thematic experiences where guests become part of the story, not just spectators. Whether it’s meeting a lifelong friend or sharing an unexpected moment with a stranger, Mario’s mission is to create spaces where authentic human connection can happen.
